I am an experienced Analytics / Data executive with a career spanning more than 25 years and approaching 20 different roles. I have been successful in environments ranging from a technology start-up to large multinational insurance / reinsurance organisations, to both manufacturing and retail companies. However I started my career at a small software house, where I was employee number 10, later becoming one of the people who ran the firm and a co-owner.

I have worked with many other companies in sectors including: Banking, Central and Local Government, Chemicals, Electronics, Engineering, Extractives, Financial Services, Food & Agriculture, Further and Higher Education, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Nuclear Power, Oil & Gas, Publishing, Telecommunications and Utilities.

A major Information Programme that I headed-up, EMIR, has won external awards and been the subject of multiple case studies and videos. I regularly speak about the factors that led to EMIR’s success at seminars across Europe and North America.

The success of EMIR also led to Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Analytics forming a major part of each of my roles since 2000, though these have often been broader such as Head of Development. The things that I learnt while building EMIR have helped me to run both successful Information Programmes and successful IT Development and Integration Projects and Programmes for several other organisations in the last 15 years.
